Traffic in Jakarta

            Jakarta as a capital city of Indonesia has the busiest life than other province in Indonesia. The citizen is increase every year and most of them come from other province. Moreover, based on the increase of citizen that living in Jakarta, there are also coincided with the addition of vehicle. That’s why “traffic” becomes one of the biggest issues in Jakarta. Vehicle is increase every year but there is no expansion of the road in Jakarta. The public transportation is cause the traffic because they usually stop not in their spot but they stop in the street. That’s why Jakarta is always traffic all day, especially in the main street.

Saung Greenvile (seafood restaurant)

Saung greenvile is located in Green Ville Blok AV - 12A Jakarta Barat, DKI Jakarta. This restaurant sells seafood as their food. The owner Mr. Tio Maruli Johan and his family managed this restaurant by themselves. They started to open their restaurant since April 1999. Beginning as a small family seafood restaurant in 1999, in contrast they already make a successful restaurant. The customers that usually come to this restaurant come back again to their restaurant because the environment and also the food taste. Their made their food with all fresh ingredients and processed it carefully. This restaurant does not have any branch at all. That why this restaurant is always full every day with a loyal customer that come every day and every time.

Nanny’s Pavillion

                There are many types of restaurant that located in mall, but nowadays a unique theme to be the first reason to attract people. That’s why there a lot of restaurant made their restaurant with unique concept. For example Nanny’s Pavillion that opened their restaurant in 2009. They already have seven branches that located in Bandung and Jakarta. They made every branch with a unique concept and theme, they adopt the entire theme from our daily live. For example, library, bathroom, sewing room, barn, etc. They also made their waiters wear a uniform that unique and simple. In conclusion, customers not only see about the menu from the restaurant but they also look about their theme too.

week 7

A Indonesian Wedding

Indonesia has a lots kind of different cultures and ethnics. Certainly, the wedding ceremony will be different with other country. Especially about clothing , tradition and ceremony. For example in java, people usually have a lot of tradition before the wedding day. About their dress, the bride usually wears kebaya (the tradition dress), but at night this couple changed their clothes to their tradition clothes and having a big party. They usually invite their family and their friends to come and join their weddings. The groom and the bride make this party for celebrate their wedding day. They have many kind of traditions especially day beofrewedding day. For example , lamaran ceremony, siraman and midodareni. In Indonesia wedding is truly traditional wedding tradition.

My high school weakness

                As ex-student from my old school, Many weakness in my old school, but i know how to improve it. The idea is make it at least into national plus school. There are some reasons why I want to change it into at least national plus school.

                I would to change it because in this period of time a lot of people need more practice such as a language. As we know school is the best place that children growing up and learn everything. Beside that a national plus school at least they have a different type of book and different knowledge of course.

                Even though there are some intense competitions among schools, I believe that make some changes for my old school is the best way to improve it.

Leader OR Member??

As we know a group usually has a leader and members, but to be a leader of a group you should be have enough experiences. A leader or a member is same for me because both of them are the important factors in a group.

                As a leader you should have a big responsibility for their group. That is not an easy job for someone to lead a group if they do not have enough experience, because when you are a leader you should make your decision for your group. Furthermore as a leader of a group you should have a good personality, for example at least you should be brave to help your group member.

                In conclusion, as a leader in a group is quite hard and not easy at all. A leader should give their best performance while they are in a group.

week 4

Not everything that is contained in books

           A lot of people usually have their own argument about this topic. I totally agree with this point, because we usually heard that “an experience is the best teacher “. So from that words i believe not only a book can make us diligent but also the experience will help us when we growing up.

           The experience is the best lesson in our life. Without an experience we will not know something as well as we just read the theory. Although read the book is very important for our knowledge, with experience we also can add our knowledge. Furthermore the book usually just say about the theory but sometimes during we do something as same as the theory, it did not work. So, the knowledge from the book theory not 100 percent true.

           In conclusion knowledge gained from experience is more important than knowledge gained from books, although books are really important and full of knowledge. Theory without experience is nothing, because in a real situation we need an experience not just a theory.

College

First year or junior year probably the best time for some people in college period. The best moment when someone on their first year college is go outside their usual environment and making friends with new people. However this moment will be balance with a great and hard time because on the first year everyone still needs to adapt their life to a new environment. The first year in college can be really tough too, because the college subject and the learning way will totally different with high school. All in all, when someone ready to get in into college life, their perhaps ready to adapt their selves into other environment.

Traffic

Jakarta as a big city is already familiar with some bad points. For example: a pollution, traffic, and individuality. But right now traffic is the most important problem than other; the traffic that happened in Jakarta is getting worst day by day. The traffic is mostly because the vehicle that increases every year. As a solution Jakarta government already make a best public transportation ”transjakarta” for us, but that not going well. The problem always happened, from the criminal until the quantity of the buses that cannot handle the people every day. The traffic in Jakarta should be a number one priority for the government to solve it.
